Restaurant Yum Yum. A Nyonya place my Grandmother Loved.

My 48 year old cousin got married. They met in China and she's really really beautiful. Legs as long as a supermodels and skin as fair as porcelain. Though she's 24/28 years old. That's right, she's around my age. But she's married to my 48 year old cousin, who honestly looks very young in comparison to his age. And i had no idea they got married. I had just spent the whole day at the Lost World of Tambun understanding families and children.

So at 4.30pm my father tells me. - WE'RE GOING FOR DINNER.
Me: I'm like, I'm going to sleep.
Father : You're going for dinner!.
Me : No.
Father : Didn't your mother tell you that your cousin is back? We have to go meet his new wife.
Me: Huh? what the hell. They got married this morning? o.O? -
 Father: no, Last week.
Me: O.O? I'm exhausted
Father : You're GOING for DINNER!
Anyways, I went for dinner.

Very Celebrated Pandan Chicken.
This is a Spicy, Sweet Sour Tofu.
Dinner was interesting. It was at the usual Yum Yum Restaurant in town. Yum Yum serves Nyonya foods, and it used to be one of my Grandmother's favorite places to go to.  Upstairs we took up 5 tables. But the serving of food was so weird. Dishes kept coming, and there was no rice. 10 dishes were ordered, One after another piled up . We asked the groom's brother who is a chef at the Marina Bay Sands Hotel, Singapore. -

It's Chinese Culture to have foods flooded out till you can't finish any of it. Having the families from China, we were being given a slight culture shock. 10 dishes, one after another came out. It's customary to eat these dishes without rice. Rice would be the last dish served as prosperity to end the dinner. Least to say there were Lots of foods unfinished.
Kerabu Chicken Salad or so

50 Dishes cooked for 50 people. Where none of the dishes were finished. Interesting Culture. This is the sign of Prosperity. At least i now understood why in China the people are not fat but prosperous. Here our people are very fat and that is prosperous. In a sense i do love China, it's philosophies and all that it used to stand for. Modern day however, there are cliches.

Deep Fried Brinjals with minced meat.
To My new Cousin. : Welcome to the Family xoxo. To My Family : Ladies and Gentlemen, we have met China. :)

Peach Danish with an Apple Juice at Burps and Giggles

Burps and Giggles.

OMGOSH THE ONLY PLACE THAT HAS DANISH PASTRY - It's been a while since Delifrance when i've had Danish Pastry. Datin Julie Song (who opened up Indulgence as well) moved in to this place for run down shop looking place for Danish Pastries. Seems she was the one who also brought in Delifrance a really long time ago. Takes me back to the days when I used to eat Raspberry Pastries. My Favorite. They don't have that here, but they do have my second best. -Peaches.

The place is small and epicly crowded though. I can never eat in too big a crowds where everyone is moving up and down unless i wear my earphones. So i moved from the central dining area to the bar. Where i'm usually more comfortable with my books and self. It's empty and you drink alcohol there from morning till night.

The person at the bar was playing with his iPad. He works there. though i'm not sure what as though. He was on his iPad. That is it. - We talked. He was telling me about the place how it's usually crowded from 12pm onwards. The time was 11am. So i had 1 more hour of peace and quiet before chaos arrived. LOL. This place is interesting. it's probably one of those places where you will never be lonely.

Tapas are served from 3pm onwards to the nights and people will come over for a Happy Hour at 7pm and Laugh and be Merry and Drink. They say they close at 8pm, but well. :) The Merriment will always go on, and so they'll close at 9pm.

Though that place is spooky. People around that area have been held at gunpoint before. Scary isn't it?

Then i continued to plan out the executive summary of world domination.

Ice Cream at WAVE Cafe, Lost World of Tambun

I constantly hang out at the Lost World of Tambun.
No, i don't go there to get a sexy tan everyday, but i do go there to hang out with a  friend. - And we usually sit down and chat over delicious Ice Cream at their WAVE Cafe. It's delicious. Better than a Baskin Robbins i have to say. It's Rich, Silky and cause it's got 5 toppings on it, Highly Textured. You're never gonna know if it's a Smarty, Nut etc. all at 1 time.
It's that good.

For RM6, it's great that you can sit down with a friend and share 2 scoops of chocolate. and just calmly talk.

People here, they can live with parents their whole lives without seeing the world, and they're happy. It's interesting how content one person can be.

And on the inside, how everyone wants to have the excitement, but never really go out and get it. - It's tough? No? Odd.

I don't know. Maybe that's what comfortable looks like. They have a more myopic outlook on life. Where when you stay in one place for too much and too long, there's just no more hopes, or dreams to live up to and for anymore? You don't look for a boyfriend, a life partner or even a life. You stop looking for anything. You just pass your days in a routine, living day to day, hoping one day it'd be different even if it's not really that much. People live like that here.
They say it's called "happiness". It's all that they need. It's all enough to live for.

Within the city of a 750,000 population of people. Everyone's content. - A content city. Interesting.
